About the DSC 1

These courses are in conjunction with The National Gamekeepers Organisation NGO and is an intro into Deer stalking aimed at the novice and experienced stalker, its an important qualification to have within the stalking community with many syndicates now ask for the DSC 1 as part of their signup criteria.
Many paid stalking trips are also asking for it as a requirement as it is quickly becoming the industry standard.

PLEASE NOTE DEER MANAGEMENT DSC1 NATIONAL GUIDELINES HAVE CHANGED.

THE TRAINED HUNTER NUMBER IS NO LONGER AWARDED WITH THE DSC1.

THIS CAN BE OBTAINED WITH A SEPARATE STAND ALONE COURSE WITH THE NGO THE DAY BEFORE EACH DSC1 COURSE AND RUN AT CALTON MOOR RANGE 

Assessment Requirements

The DSC 1 is a theory based qualification with the DSC 2 being a practical assessment
The DSC 1 is broken down into 5 parts

• Visual Test 
• Written Test - multiple choice
• Game Meat Hygiene - multiple choice
• Safety Test - mock stalk
• Shooting Test 

A course book will be sent to you prior to the course with all the information required and assessment criteria included.
