FAT COURSE firearms training course

For those who have had  little or no contact with any rifles this 1 day introduction is designed to  provide a safe introduction to firearms. The briefings include safety, law and  shooting disciplines. The practical sessions will show you how to hold and fire  the rifle and how to apply for a firearms license. You will be able to try  different rifles and calibres provided during the course.

DSC 1 COURSE.

we run DSC courses every 2 months.  please see separate page for date and content. This course is designed to give a basic knowledge of deer management, ecology and law relating to deer. This is the national certificate which is the industry leader. it has practical skills and theoretical learning as its course content.

DSC 2 COURSE.

For those who wish to further their skills this is a practical based course out in the field.  We are an authorised accredited witness (AW) for this course.

BUTCHERY COURSE/CARCASS PREPARATION

We give one to one or small group  tuition to demonstrate how to dress and prepare deer carcasses , and identify jointing of meat.

RELOADING

We offer one to one or small group courses on centre fire cartridge reloading, to suit individual requirements.

Other organisations use Calton Moor range as a venue for their courses.  ie BASC,NGO, BDS. (please see their course lists).

Other organisations in the industry use the venue for staff training and development.
